Use Your Blood to Rejuvenate Your Face…

The vampire facial, sometimes known as a PRP (platelet-rich plasma) facial, has been widely debated ever since Kim Kardashian West underwent the procedure during an episode of the Keeping Up with the Kardashians spin-off, Kim and Kourtney Take Miami.

Anyone with premature wrinkles, high levels of solar damage, or anyone who wants an even tone and fresher appearance to their skin is an ideal candidate for the procedure

The procedure begins with a simple blood draw, the provider will then process the blood to isolate the platelet rich plasma (using devices approved by the FDA). Platelet rich plasma(PRP) contains protein and other nutrients that are supposed to help stimulate skin cell growth and collagen.

A vampire facial is a combination of microneedling and PRP.

Microneedling is a skin-rejuvenating procedure in which tiny needles create punctures in the top layer of skin with the goal of improving overall texture and appearance. The microneedling device is made up of micro-fine needles that range in diameter from 0.5 and 2.5 millimeters. But if the prospect of multiple needle wounds sounds slightly ominous, rest assured, the punctures are more like pin-pricks that enter only skin deep.

The provider then uses the micro-needling device to to drive the isolated growth factors into the skin & creating stimulus for tightening and rejuvenation of the collagen of the face. The growth factors activate multipotent stem cells in the tissue for further stimulation of tightening and skin rejuvenation. The skin tightens, and glows with color, and scaring softens for a beautiful younger and very natural result.

You’ll emerge from treatment a bit red, almost like a sunburn, which means post-procedure sunscreen is highly recommended. Applying makeup, though, is discouraged. Usually more than one treatment is recommended.

The result…younger-appearing skin!

The effects of the procedure improve for 2 to 3 months and last for at least 1 to 2 years!
